Job Brief
As a Playground Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of children during outdoor playtime at schools, childcare institutions, and private households. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising play activities, assisting children with dressing, feeding, and bathing, and fostering a positive and engaging environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children during playtime to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Assist children with dressing, feeding, and bathing as necessary.
- Promote positive social interactions and conflict resolution among children.
- Maintain a clean and organized play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and functional.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children’s behavior and activities.
- Implement age-appropriate games and activities to encourage physical and social development.
- Observe and report any behavioral or developmental concerns to appropriate staff members.
- Adhere to safety protocols and policies to ensure the well-being of all children.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a supervised setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in play supervision.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other staff members.
- Background check clearance may be required prior to employment.
