Job Brief
The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing comprehensive maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functionality of machinery and mechanical equipment within a facility. This role requires expertise in various maintenance disciplines, such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to ensure prompt resolution.
- Perform welding, machining, and carpentry tasks as needed to maintain facility integrity.
- Install, align, and balance new equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of parts and supplies.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and departments to optimize workflow and operations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and carpentry skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as necessary.
