Job Brief
As a Pit Boss, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of staff in designated gambling areas within a casino environment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring table games, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, verifying and paying out jackpots, and maintaining the functionality of slot machines. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of casino operations, and the ability to enhance guest experiences through effective service management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of dealers and gaming staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor table games, ensuring all rules and regulations are adhered to while providing excellent customer service.
- Circulate among gaming tables to assess operations, address guest inquiries, and resolve disputes.
- Verify and process jackpot payouts accurately and efficiently.
- Reset slot machines after payouts and conduct minor repairs or adjustments as necessary.
- Recommend the removal of malfunctioning slot machines for repair or replacement.
- Plan and organize guest activities and events to enhance overall casino experience.
- Train and mentor gaming staff to uphold high standards of service and compliance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in gaming management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a casino environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of gaming regulations, procedures, and customer service practices.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick, informed decisions.
- Strong analytical skills for monitoring gaming activities and identifying areas for improvement.
- Proficiency in using gaming management software and technology.
