Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pedodontist to join our dental practice, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of dental issues in children. The ideal candidate will possess a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, along with a residency in pediatric dentistry. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a passion for working with children, and the ability to create a comfortable environment for young patients. Key responsibilities include performing dental examinations, providing preventive care, and implementing treatment plans tailored to children’s unique dental needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations for pediatric patients to diagnose oral health issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each child’s dental needs.
- Perform preventive procedures such as fluoride treatments and dental sealants.
- Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Manage dental emergencies and provide appropriate care in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with dental regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry and best practices.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program.
- Current state dental license and board certification in pediatric dentistry.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric dental procedures and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children and families.
- Ability to manage anxiety and build rapport with young patients.
- Commitment to continuous education and professional development in pediatric dentistry.
