Job Brief
The Patriot Launching Station Enhanced Operator/Maintainer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of advanced missile systems utilized in air defense. This role requires expertise in targeting and firing weapons to neutralize enemy aircraft and threats, as well as conducting thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on missile systems and related equipment. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the Patriot missile launching station, ensuring optimal performance during air defense operations.
- Conduct thorough testing and inspection of missile systems, ammunition, and launch equipment.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on all related equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Establish and maintain effective radio and wire communications for operational coordination.
- Utilize weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems for accurate engagement of enemy targets.
- Assist in the storage and handling of missiles and ammunition in compliance with military regulations.
- Collaborate with team members during drills and live operations to enhance operational readiness.
- Document maintenance activities, inspections, and operational performance for accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training in air defense artillery preferred.
- Experience in operating and maintaining missile systems, specifically the Patriot system.
- Strong understanding of ground combat operations and air defense protocols.
- Ability to perform routine inspections and diagnostics on complex equipment.
- Familiarity with computer systems used for targeting and firing operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork and reporting.
- Must possess a valid military security clearance and meet physical fitness standards.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions and adapt to changing operational requirements.
