Job Brief
As a Panel Saw Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to advanced wood sawing machines, including computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate panel saws and CNC equipment according to specifications.
- Operate wood sawing machines to cut materials to precise dimensions and specifications.
- Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal performance.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to execute cutting processes efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for adherence to standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in woodworking or CNC operation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Panel Saw Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with woodworking machinery and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
