Job Brief

As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will assess, plan, and implement individualized rehabilitative programs designed to enhance daily living skills, vocational abilities, and overall independence for individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Your role will involve utilizing therapeutic techniques, adapting environments, and modifying tasks to overcome barriers faced by clients. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ needs and establish appropriate therapy goals.
  • Develop and implement tailored rehabilitative programs to improve daily living, vocational, and homemaking skills.
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment to facilitate skill acquisition and independence.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive client care and support.
  • Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate clients and their families on strategies to enhance participation in daily activities.
  • Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and techniques through continuous education.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure or certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and families.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
