Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Neuropathologist to join our medical team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of brain and nervous tissue samples to identify pathological conditions.
- Utilize histological and immunohistochemical techniques to diagnose neurological diseases.
- Collaborate with medical examiners to interpret results and contribute to clinical decisions.
- Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to healthcare teams and patients.
- Stay updated with advancements in neuropathology and related fields to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment plans.
- Mentor and train junior staff and medical residents in neuropathological techniques and practices.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree with a specialization in pathology, preferably with a focus on neuropathology.
- Board certification in Neuropathology is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical or research setting related to neuropathology.
- Strong proficiency in diagnostic techniques, including molecular pathology.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of neuropathology.
