Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Network Support Coordinator to oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and data communications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in network administration and server management, ensuring optimal performance and security of our network systems. Key responsibilities include monitoring system performance, analyzing resource consumption, and maintaining software licenses, making this role crucial for our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to support organizational operations.
- Monitor network performance, ensuring the integrity and availability of hardware and server resources.
- Review system and application logs to validate the completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
- Analyze network and server resource consumption to optimize performance and control user access.
- Install and upgrade software applications while maintaining compliance with software licensing agreements.
- Assist in network modeling and planning, coordinating between data communications hardware and software.
- Provide troubleshooting support for network issues, collaborating with other IT professionals as necessary.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and updates to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Support Coordinator or similar role in network administration and support.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, network protocols, and data communications.
- Familiarity with operating systems, physical and virtual servers, and system monitoring tools.
- Experience in analyzing and optimizing network performance and resource allocation.
- Technical proficiency in installing, upgrading, and maintaining software applications and licenses.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
