Job Brief
As a Naval Flight Officer (NFO) specializing in Airborne Reconnaissance, you will perform and direct critical in-flight operations to ensure the successful execution of combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue missions. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency in operating aircraft communications and radar equipment, managing onboard systems, and leading mission planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of aircraft systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Operate aircraft communications and radar equipment, establishing satellite links and jamming enemy communication capabilities.
- Direct the operation of aircraft weapons and defensive systems in combat scenarios.
- Coordinate and manage cargo and personnel drops during transport missions.
- Lead mission briefings and debriefings, ensuring all personnel understand their roles and objectives.
- Analyze reconnaissance data and provide actionable intelligence to command personnel.
- Maintain operational logs and documentation for all missions conducted.
- Collaborate with crew members and other military units to ensure mission success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of Naval Flight Officer training with proficiency in airborne reconnaissance operations.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, avionics, and mission planning software.
- Experience with electronic warfare systems and tactical reconnaissance techniques.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by military regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills under high-pressure conditions.
- Willingness to work irregular hours and deploy to various locations as needed.
