Job Brief
As a Mutuel Teller, you will play a crucial role in facilitating financial transactions for patrons at gaming facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include exchanging coins, tokens, and chips for cash, issuing payoffs while ensuring accurate record-keeping, and managing cash drawers effectively. Responsibilities
- Exchange coins, tokens, and chips for patrons’ currency accurately and efficiently.
- Issue payoffs to customers and obtain signatures on receipts as required.
- Operate a booth in the slot machine area, providing change and support to patrons.
- Count and audit cash drawers and transactions at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Maintain organized records of transactions and ensure compliance with gaming regulations.
- Assist in training new staff on cash handling and customer service best practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patron inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the gaming facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or hospitality is a plus.
- Previous experience in cash handling or customer service, preferably in a gaming or hospitality setting.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with gaming regulations and cash management practices is advantageous.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer software.
