Job Brief
As a Motorboat Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining inboard and inboard-outboard boat engines. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in inboard and inboard-outboard engines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
- Inspect and test motorboat systems for proper operation and safety compliance.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess engine performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance work, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service processes and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in marine mechanics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in marine mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience as a motorboat mechanic or in a similar role within the marine industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, fuel systems, and engine diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools specific to marine repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license; additional certifications in marine safety are a plus.
