Job Brief

As a Motor Scooter Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling various motorized vehicles, including motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, and dirt bikes. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of engine mechanics and electrical systems. You should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to ensure vehicle safety and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical issues in motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, and dirt bikes using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential problems before they become serious.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, brakes, and electrical systems, ensuring vehicles meet industry standards.
  • Overhaul and rebuild engines, transmission systems, and suspension components as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, repair techniques, and emerging technologies related to motorized vehicles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in motorcycle mechanics is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic, with a focus on scooters, motorcycles, or similar vehicles.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools specific to motorized vehicles.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards and practices.
  • Valid driver’s license; motorcycle endorsement preferred.
