Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Interview loan applicants to gather necessary financial information and assess eligibility for various mortgage products.
- Investigate applicants’ backgrounds and verify references to ensure the integrity of information provided.
- Prepare and process loan request documentation, ensuring all forms are complete and accurate.
- Forward findings, reports, and documents to the appraisal department to initiate property evaluations.
- Review loan papers for completeness and compliance with lending regulations before submission for approval.
- Coordinate transactions between loan establishments, borrowers, and sellers upon loan approval.
- Maintain organized loan files and documentation throughout the processing cycle for easy access and audit purposes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers and real estate agents, addressing inquiries and providing updates on loan status.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or in a similar role within the banking or mortgage industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and relevant lending regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial statements and credit reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficient in mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
