Job Brief
As a Meat Curer, you will be responsible for operating and tending to specialized food processing equipment to create high-quality cured meats. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain food processing equipment, including hearth ovens, kiln driers, and vacuum drying systems.

- Implement food safety protocols to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.
- Prepare and blend curing mixtures, including salts, spices, and preservatives, according to established recipes.
- Conduct quality control checks to assess product consistency and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize processing schedules and enhance efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of production data, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels.
- Stay updated on emerging curing techniques and industry trends to improve product offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in meat curing or a related food processing role.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
- Technical proficiency in operating food roasting and drying equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or food science education is a plus.
- Certification in food handling or safety is preferred.
