Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Maxillofacial Prosthodontist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate patients requiring prostheses that enhance oral function, health, and aesthetics. This role demands extensive knowledge in oral and maxillofacial tissues, as well as proficiency in designing and fitting custom prostheses. The selected professional will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care while staying updated with the latest advancements in prosthodontics.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and assess clinical conditions related to oral and maxillofacial tissues.
- Design, fabricate, and fit prostheses for patients with functional and aesthetic needs.
- Collaborate with dental specialists, oral surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques and CAD/CAM technology to enhance prosthetic design.
- Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene and prosthetic care.
- Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor prosthesis performance and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with health regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in maxillofacial prosthodontics and integrate innovative practices into patient care.
Requirements
- D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in prosthodontics.
- Board certification in prosthodontics is preferred.
- Strong understanding of maxillofacial anatomy and related clinical practices.
- Proficiency in digital dentistry and CAD/CAM systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple patient cases.
