Job Brief

As a Marine Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating marine vessels, ship machinery, and related equipment, including propulsion systems and power supply. Your expertise in marine engineering and naval architecture will contribute to innovative solutions that enhance vessel performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of maritime regulations, and experience in CAD software.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop marine vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Evaluate the operational efficiency of ship machinery and propulsion systems.
  • Conduct structural and stability analyses to guarantee vessel integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize design processes and project outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced CAD and simulation software for modeling and design validation.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports for project stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during construction and maintenance phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marine design and engineering, preferably in a shipbuilding environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks) and marine simulation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Experience with project management and cost estimation is desirable.
