Responsibilities
- Design and develop marine vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Evaluate the operational efficiency of ship machinery and propulsion systems.
- Conduct structural and stability analyses to guarantee vessel integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize design processes and project outcomes.
- Utilize advanced CAD and simulation software for modeling and design validation.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports for project stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Provide technical support and guidance during construction and maintenance phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marine design and engineering, preferably in a shipbuilding environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks) and marine simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of maritime safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Experience with project management and cost estimation is desirable.
