Job Brief
As a Marble Chip Terrazzo Worker, you will play a vital role in constructing durable and decorative surfaces by applying a mixture of cement, sand, pigment, and marble chips to various structures including floors, stairways, and cabinet fixtures. The ideal candidate should possess experience in terrazzo installation, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for terrazzo application by cleaning, leveling, and priming as necessary.
- Mix and apply cement, sand, pigment, and marble chips according to project specifications.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment for cutting, grinding, and polishing terrazzo surfaces.
- Ensure that all installations meet safety standards and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects on time.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on existing terrazzo surfaces as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Marble Chip Terrazzo Worker or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of terrazzo techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Familiarity with operating hand tools and machinery used in terrazzo installation.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
