Job Brief
As a Maitre D’, you will be the face of the dining experience, responsible for welcoming guests, seating them efficiently, and ensuring the highest quality of service and ambiance. Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage seating arrangements and flow of service to optimize guest experience.
- Oversee dining room operations and coordinate with service staff for seamless service delivery.
- Assist in menu presentation, offering recommendations and addressing guest inquiries.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and facilities.
- Train and mentor staff on service standards and customer engagement techniques.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service and high-quality offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maitre D’, Host, or in a similar customer-facing role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, with an emphasis on fine dining.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest relations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and dining management software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality management is a plus.
