Job Brief
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing skilled tasks across multiple maintenance disciplines to ensure optimal functionality of machinery, mechanical equipment, and building structures. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Perform repairs and troubleshooting on HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Execute welding, machining, and carpentry tasks to repair or enhance equipment and buildings.
- Install, align, and balance new equipment according to specifications and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to minimize workplace hazards.
- Assist in the development of maintenance schedules and procedures to improve system reliability.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role within an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of safety practices.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts when necessary.
