Job Brief
The Maintenance Dispatcher plays a crucial role in coordinating and scheduling the activities of maintenance crews, technicians, and service vehicles. Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch maintenance workers and service vehicles for routine and emergency repairs.
- Monitor and track work progress to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Utilize communication tools, including radio, telephone, and computer systems, to transmit assignments.
- Compile and maintain statistical reports on service requests, job statuses, and crew performance.
- Coordinate with management and field staff to prioritize maintenance requests and optimize resource allocation.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and adjust schedules to address urgent maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched work and follow up on service outcomes.
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols and best practices in all dispatching activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dispatching or similar role within maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in dispatching software and computer applications for work order management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with teams.
- Knowledge of maintenance operations and industry best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in dispatching or maintenance management preferred.
