Job Brief
The Machinery Dismantler is responsible for the installation, dismantling, and relocation of machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and technical drawings. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in machinery maintenance and dismantling, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Install and dismantle machinery and heavy equipment following technical drawings and layout specifications.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery during the dismantling process.
- Assess and prepare equipment for relocation, ensuring safe handling and transportation.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal functionality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment layouts and functionality.
- Document all dismantling processes and maintain accurate records of equipment specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks during machinery operation and dismantling.
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff in dismantling techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education in machinery or engineering is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Machinery Dismantler or in a similar role within industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery operation, and dismantling techniques.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to heavy equipment and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy components.
- Valid forklift certification and other relevant machinery operation certifications are a plus.
