Job Brief
As a Machine Welder, you will set up, operate, and maintain welding, soldering, and brazing machines to produce high-quality metal products and components. Your expertise in operating advanced welding technologies, including robotic welding systems and laser-cutting machines, will ensure precision and efficiency in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, safety protocols, and machine operation, combined with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate welding machines and robots for various metal fabrication tasks.
- Operate welding and soldering equipment to join, repair, or fabricate metal parts and assemblies.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete projects accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and improve production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety regulations and protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding or fabrication preferred.
- Proven experience as a Machine Welder or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Familiarity with laser cutting technology and robotics is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and mechanical aptitude.
- Valid welding certification is preferred but not mandatory.
