Responsibilities

- Document inspection findings, including discrepancies and maintenance needs, using standardized reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to address identified issues and enhance operational efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and assist in the development of preventative maintenance plans.
- Stay informed on industry regulations, safety standards, and technological advancements in rail transport.
- Provide recommendations for repairs, modifications, or replacements of defective components.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety within the organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in locomotive inspection or a related mechanical field.
- Knowledge of rail safety regulations and industry standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license; certification in locomotive inspection is a plus.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and technology used in rail transport.
