Job Brief
As a Loan Teller, you will be responsible for efficiently processing financial transactions, including receiving and paying out money, while maintaining accurate records of cash and negotiable instruments. Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies.
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions to support auditing and reporting requirements.
- Assist customers in understanding loan products and services, providing information on terms, conditions, and repayment options.
- Identify and resolve customer inquiries and issues related to loan accounts and transactions promptly.
- Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) regulations during all transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on financial products and banking regulations.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by promoting effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Proficient in financial software and banking systems; familiarity with loan processing software is a plus.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
