Job Brief
The Liquid Natural Gas Plant Operator is responsible for the efficient operation and monitoring of LNG facilities, ensuring the safe transmission, compression, and recovery of gases such as natural gas, butane, and nitrogen. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety regulations. Candidates should possess experience in operating steam, gas, electric motor, or internal combustion engine-driven compressors and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain LNG plant equipment, including compressors and related machinery.
- Monitor and control the flow of natural gas and other gases to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safety compliance.
- Record and analyze operational data to identify trends and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Implement safety protocols and emergency response procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize plant operations and improve efficiency.
- Prepare reports on operational activities and share insights with management.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes relevant to LNG operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Liquid Natural Gas Plant Operator or in a similar role within the energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of gas compression and transmission systems.
- Technical certification in gas operations, plant management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the LNG industry.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot steam, gas, electric motor, or internal combustion engines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to changing operational demands.
