Job Brief
The Lighting Fixture Installer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and lighting fixtures in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a solid understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations to ensure compliance during all installations. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in electrical systems and a strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship that meets industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of lighting fixtures and electrical equipment.
- Assess and troubleshoot electrical systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all installations comply with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their lighting needs and recommend solutions.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems and fixtures.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
- Install and service street lights, intercom systems, and electrical control systems as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project status and timelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
- Proven experience as a lighting fixture installer or in a similar electrical installation role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and lighting technology.
- Familiarity with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid electrician’s license or certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
