Job Brief

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with researchers to ensure accurate and consistent taxonomy across diverse biological datasets.
- Create and update taxonomic databases, ensuring compliance with relevant nomenclature and classification guidelines.
- Conduct literature reviews to stay current on taxonomic developments and advancements in the field.
- Provide training and support to team members on taxonomy-related software and methodologies.
- Contribute to scientific publications and presentations by providing taxonomic insights and data analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Botany, Zoology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in biological taxonomy or a related field, with a strong understanding of species classification.
- Familiarity with taxonomy databases such as GenBank, iNaturalist, or similar platforms.
- Proficient in data analysis software and tools relevant to biological research.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data accuracy and classification.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex taxonomic information effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
