Job Brief

As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in recreational areas such as pools, beaches, and ski slopes. You will monitor activities, provide assistance, and enforce safety regulations while maintaining a vigilant presence. The ideal candidate will possess strong swimming skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations. Previous experience in a lifeguarding role or similar environment is preferred, along with relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor recreational areas to ensure the safety of all participants.
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Perform regular surveillance of designated areas to identify potential hazards.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed.
  • Conduct swim tests and assist in swim instruction when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pool or beach area.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and provide assistance with inquiries.
  • Attend regular training sessions to stay updated on safety protocols and lifeguard techniques.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid lifeguard certification (e.g., CPR, First Aid, AED).
  • Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety practices.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform lifeguarding duties.
  • Experience in a lifeguarding or recreational environment is preferred.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
