Job Brief
The LCAC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vehicles, including tanks, light armor, and amphibious assault vehicles in diverse combat scenarios on land and water. This role requires specialized training in driving armored vehicles, proficiency in operating targeting and firing systems, and expertise in advanced communications and navigation equipment. Candidates must possess strong teamwork and leadership skills to effectively transport personnel and equipment while ensuring operational readiness in high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities
- Operate LCAC vehicles and amphibious assault vehicles in various combat situations, both on land and in aquatic environments.
- Drive and maneuver armored vehicles with a focus on precision and safety.
- Maintain and operate targeting and firing systems for effective combat engagement.
- Ensure proper functioning of advanced onboard communications and navigation equipment.
- Transport personnel and equipment efficiently in combat zones while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain auxiliary weapons, including machine guns and grenade launchers.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicle readiness and performance.
- Collaborate with team members and other units to execute mission objectives successfully.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training or experience preferred.
- Completion of specialized training programs for LCAC vehicle operation.
- Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and combat systems.
- Proficiency in operating targeting and firing systems.
- Experience with advanced communications and navigation technologies.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid military driver’s license and relevant certifications.
