Job Brief
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Lawn Caretaker to maintain and enhance the aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance, utilizing both hand and power tools to perform tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and fertilizing. Strong attention to detail and a passion for horticulture are essential for ensuring the health and beauty of lawns and gardens.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, edging, and trimming to ensure a well-groomed appearance.
- Lay sod and plant a variety of flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance landscape aesthetics.
- Water and fertilize plants and lawns to promote healthy growth and prevent disease.
- Utilize hand and power tools, such as blowers, trimmers, and chainsaws, safely and effectively.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinklers, to ensure efficient water usage.
- Conduct regular inspections of lawns and gardens to identify and address issues such as pests or disease.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition through regular cleaning and servicing.
- Assist with landscape design and implementation projects to enhance outdoor spaces.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in horticulture or landscaping is a plus.
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
- Familiarity with landscape tools and equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
- Strong understanding of plant species and maintenance practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Certification in landscape management or related fields is preferred.
