Job Brief

As a Lacing Operator, you will play a critical role in the footwear manufacturing process by operating various machines to join, decorate, reinforce, and finish shoes and shoe components. This position requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in machine operation, and a solid understanding of footwear production techniques. Ideal candidates will possess experience in a manufacturing environment, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain lacing machines to ensure efficient production of footwear.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Assemble shoe components according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance and adherence to design specifications.
  • Document production data and report any discrepancies to supervisory staff.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Lacing Operator or similar role in the footwear manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with sewing and lacing machinery and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
