We are seeking a dedicated Journalism Professor to join our academic faculty. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging course content in journalism and communication disciplines.
- Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Guide and mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits.
- Conduct research in relevant areas of journalism and communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and academic offerings.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program development.
- Stay current with industry trends and integrate them into the classroom.
- Engage in community outreach and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven teaching experience at the college or university level.
- Strong understanding of current media practices and technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with curriculum development and course design.
- Ability to engage and inspire a diverse student population.
- Research experience and a strong publication record are preferred.
- Professional experience in journalism or related fields is an asset.
