Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Jewelry Polisher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for grinding, sanding, and polishing a variety of jewelry pieces and decorative items using hand tools and power tools. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and experience working with metals, stones, and other materials. Your expertise will ensure that each piece meets high-quality standards and shines with perfection.
Responsibilities
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to grind, sand, and polish jewelry made from various materials such as metals, stones, and plastics.
- Inspect finished products for quality and precision, ensuring they meet design specifications.
- Maintain and operate polishing equipment, including buffers, chippers, and finishers.
- Collaborate with designers and craftsmen to achieve desired finishes and textures on jewelry pieces.
- Implement safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure personal and team safety.
- Document work processes and maintain inventory of polishing supplies and materials.
- Continuously improve polishing techniques and share best practices with team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Jewelry Polisher or in a similar role within the jewelry or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of various materials, including metals, stones, and plastics.
- Hands-on experience with polishing equipment and hand tools, including buffers and sanders.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship and finishing techniques.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in jewelry making or polishing is a plus.
