Job Brief
The Jet Engine Assembler is responsible for the precise construction, assembly, and rebuilding of jet engines and associated components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates should possess experience in aerospace engineering or mechanical assembly, along with proficiency in using hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and technical schematics.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install jet engine components according to engineering specifications and technical drawings.
- Conduct quality inspections and tests to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and other assembly team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Utilize precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances of engine parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Document assembly processes and report any discrepancies in materials or components.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly efficiency and quality.
- Train and mentor junior assemblers on best practices and assembly techniques.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering preferred.
- Proven experience as a jet engine assembler or in a similar mechanical assembly role.
- Strong knowledge of jet engine components and aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
