Job Brief
The Industrial Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating industrial trucks or tractors to efficiently move materials within warehouses, storage yards, factories, and construction sites. Responsibilities
- Operate industrial trucks, forklifts, and other vehicles to transport materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring accurate placement and safety during handling.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory levels.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize material flow and storage solutions.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse or storage area for efficiency and accessibility.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on industrial trucks and equipment as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in operating industrial trucks preferred.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Truck Operator or similar role in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification and knowledge of safety regulations.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy materials.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform equipment maintenance.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.
