Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced Independent Video Producer to oversee the production and direction of stage, television, radio, video, or film projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong creative vision and the ability to make critical decisions regarding script interpretation, casting, set design, sound, special effects, and choreography. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and industry knowledge to deliver high-quality productions that engage and inform audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative concepts for video productions, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Direct all stages of production, including pre-production planning, on-set filming, and post-production editing.
- Collaborate with writers, directors, and other key stakeholders to interpret scripts effectively.
- Select and oversee the casting of actors and guest participants for projects.
- Design and manage set layouts, props, and visual elements to enhance storytelling.
- Coordinate sound design and special effects to elevate production quality.
- Manage production budgets and schedules to ensure projects stay on track and within financial constraints.
- Supervise a team of production staff and freelancers, providing guidance and support throughout the production process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Video Producer or similar role in film, television, or digital media.
- Strong knowledge of video production techniques, including pre-production, filming, and post-production processes.
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field is preferred.
