As an Arc Welder, you will utilize advanced welding techniques including hand-welding, flame-cutting, and brazing to join metal components and fabricate metal products. Responsibilities
- Operate arc welding equipment to fabricate and repair metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
- Perform hand-welding, flame-cutting, and brazing tasks to join metals and fill seams and holes.
- Inspect completed welds for structural integrity and compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used for inventory management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is preferred.
- Proven experience as an arc welder or in a similar role.
- Certification in welding techniques and safety standards (e.g., AWS, ASME).
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in welding.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks in various positions.
