Job Brief
An Applied Anthropologist studies the complexities of human behavior, culture, and social structures to provide actionable insights for organizations and communities. Responsibilities
- Conduct ethnographic fieldwork to gather qualitative data on cultural practices and social interactions.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, behaviors, and cultural dynamics.
- Design and implement research projects that address specific organizational or community needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate anthropological insights into project development.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
- Engage with stakeholders to provide recommendations based on anthropological research.
- Stay updated on current trends and methodologies in applied anthropology and related fields.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- Proven experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in research software and tools, such as NVivo or ATLAS.ti.
- Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams and diverse environments.
- Familiarity with ethical guidelines and considerations in anthropological research.
