Job Brief
The AOC Plans Air Task Order / Air Control Order Production Officer is responsible for managing the operation of critical communications, detection, and weapons systems that support air, ground, and naval operations. This role requires a high level of experience in military operations, emergency response planning, and operational readiness. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to coordinate complex tasks effectively while ensuring seamless communication among diverse military branches.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee operation of communication links between air, naval, and ground forces to ensure effective mission execution.
- Formulate and implement emergency plans for natural disasters and wartime scenarios, ensuring readiness at all times.
- Coordinate emergency response teams and agencies, facilitating rapid and effective responses to incidents.
- Evaluate command center information and assess the need for high-level military and government reporting.
- Operate and manage surveillance and detection systems to enhance situational awareness and operational effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and advice on military capabilities and operational readiness to senior leadership.
- Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to ensure precision in military operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align air control orders with overall mission objectives and strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Military Science, Defense Studies, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in military operations, air control, or a similar role within a defense environment.
- Strong knowledge of communication, surveillance, and weapons systems.
- Familiarity with emergency response planning and execution in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to coordinate multiple teams and agencies.
- Relevant military certifications and training in air control operations are a plus.
