Job Brief

The Airspace Control Officer (AOC) plays a crucial role in managing the integration and coordination of air, ground, and naval operations. Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive emergency response plans for natural disasters and wartime scenarios.
  • Coordinate emergency response teams and collaborate with relevant agencies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate command center information to determine the necessity for high-level military and government reporting.
  • Oversee the operation of surveillance and detection systems to ensure situational awareness and timely responses.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice on capabilities, operational readiness, and system performance.
  • Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to support mission objectives.
  • Continuously assess and improve airspace management protocols to optimize mission effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as military science, aerospace engineering, or communications.
  • Proven experience in airspace management or military operations, preferably in a command and control environment.
  • Strong understanding of surveillance, detection, and weapon systems used in modern military operations.
  • Familiarity with emergency response planning and the ability to execute complex operational strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical proficiency in computer systems, including weapons targeting and launch control software.
  • Relevant military certifications or training in airspace control operations are preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making to enhance operational effectiveness.
