Job Brief
As an Animal Daycare Provider, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of a diverse range of animals, including dogs, cats, and other non-consumable pets. This role requires hands-on experience in animal care, grooming, and exercise, along with a passion for promoting animal welfare. Ideal candidates will possess strong observational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records of animal health and activities.
Responsibilities
- Feed, water, and groom animals to ensure their health and comfort.
- Exercise and engage with animals to promote physical well-being and socialization.
- Maintain clean and sanitary living conditions by cleaning, disinfecting, and repairing cages, pens, or fish tanks.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Provide bathing and basic grooming services to maintain animal hygiene.
- Keep accurate records of feedings, treatments, and animals received or discharged.
- Assist in the training and socialization of animals to enhance their adaptability.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations within the daycare facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal education in animal care is a plus.
- Proven experience as an animal caretaker or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and grooming techniques.
- Ability to handle various types of animals safely and compassionately.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification for animals is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, and cleaning.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
