Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia agents and monitor patients’ vital signs throughout the surgical process.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and support, ensuring patients recover safely and effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding anesthesia procedures and potential risks.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of anesthesia administration and patient responses.
  • Stay updated on advancements in anesthesia techniques and best practices to enhance patient care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient management and safety.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Anesthesia or completion of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program.
  • Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) from the National Commission on Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and experience in anesthesia administration.
  • Proficiency in monitoring patient vital signs and responding to emergencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stress, fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety protocols related to anesthesia practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred.
