Job Brief
As an Ambulance Driver Paramedic, you will play a critical role in emergency medical services by providing advanced life support and emergency medical care to patients in urgent situations. You will be responsible for assessing injuries and illnesses, administering medications, and utilizing advanced medical equipment such as EKGs. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to perform under pressure in high-stress environments.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ conditions and determine the necessary course of treatment.
- Administer basic and advanced life support, including intravenous medications and advanced airway management.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment, including EKG machines and defibrillators.
- Transport patients safely to medical facilities while providing ongoing assessments and care.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families regarding treatment plans and patient status.
- Document patient care and transportation details accurately in compliance with health regulations.
- Participate in continuous education and training to maintain certification and improve skills.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency calls while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Current Paramedic certification and state licensure as a Paramedic.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Proficient in advanced life support techniques and the use of medical equipment.
- Strong physical and mental stamina to perform under stressful conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in emergency medical services is preferred.
- Knowledge of local geography and healthcare facilities.
