Job Brief
As an Aluminum Pourer, you will play a crucial role in the metal casting process by operating hand-controlled mechanisms to pour and regulate the flow of molten aluminum into molds, producing high-quality castings or ingots. Responsibilities
- Operate hand-controlled mechanisms to pour molten aluminum into molds accurately.
- Regulate the flow of molten metal to ensure optimal casting quality and consistency.
- Inspect molds and equipment for defects before and after casting processes.
- Monitor temperatures and material properties to maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workplace.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
- Perform routine maintenance on pouring equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of casting processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metallurgy or metalworking is a plus.
- Proven experience as a metal pourer or in a similar role within the foundry industry.
- Strong understanding of metal properties, casting techniques, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with hand-controlled pouring mechanisms and temperature monitoring equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in a hot, dynamic environment.
- Certification in safety practices related to metalworking is preferred.
