Job Brief
The Aircraft Riveter is responsible for assembling, fitting, and fastening components of aircraft, spacecraft, or missile systems. Responsibilities
- Assemble, fit, and fasten aircraft components, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with specifications.
- Install and secure parts, including wings, fuselage, stabilizers, and landing gear, using precision tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to determine assembly requirements.
- Utilize various riveting methods and equipment to join metal parts effectively.
- Conduct quality inspections on assembled components to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and engineers to troubleshoot assembly issues and improve processes.
- Document work performed and report any discrepancies or defects in materials or workmanship.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in aircraft assembly is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Riveter or similar role in the aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of riveting techniques, tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Capability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of aircraft systems and components is a plus.
