Job Brief

As an Aircraft Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling aircraft engines and their associated assemblies, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This role requires a strong understanding of aircraft engine mechanics and systems, with a focus on maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical issues in aircraft engines and related systems to determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on aircraft engines and components.
  • Adjust or repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Overhaul aircraft engines, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
  • Stay current with technological advancements and changes in FAA regulations affecting aircraft maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited aircraft maintenance program preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as an aircraft engine mechanic or in a similar role within the aviation industry.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, including engines, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for troubleshooting issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
