Job Brief
As an Airborne Mission Systems Superintendent, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of aircrew members, ensuring optimal performance and mission success. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in airborne systems, and the ability to manage multiple operations simultaneously. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in aviation operations and a comprehensive understanding of mission systems, as well as exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of aircrew members to ensure mission readiness and compliance with operational standards.
- Conduct training and performance evaluations for aircrew personnel, providing guidance on operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to address airborne mission system issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure effective communication between aircrew and ground support teams during missions.
- Monitor and analyze mission data to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement safety management systems to enhance mission safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain training manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational checklists.
- Participate in strategic planning and execution of airborne missions, aligning resources with mission goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in aviation operations, with a focus on airborne mission systems or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of airborne mission systems, including sensor integration, avionics, and communications systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising and training personnel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Certification in relevant aviation safety and operational protocols is a plus.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions under pressure.
